  My biography :

I started my studies in Cannes, French Riviera. I studied at the university of Grenoble, Faculty of Sciences. Then, for two years I taught mathematics in the oasis of Kebili near Douz, ( Tunisia). During that time I started to write down my observations regarding the human environment and I interviewed remarkable people, collecting their memories and some interesting stories. One of my books based on these souvenirs, “Entretiens au Desert” ( Conversations in the Desert ) was published in 2002 by Dervy Publishers, Paris.

Back in France in 1969, I started a career as a civil engineer and for two years I worked on a dam site in the mountains of Zagros, South of Iran.
Then, from 1973 till 1978 I was the manager of the Information Center at the commercial department of the French Embassy in Tehran. I met very interesting people and I wrote down numerous notes about French, Iranian and Russian diplomats , businessmen, secret agents and newsmen. The time has now arrived to write my memories about this period. A first manuscript is ready for any publisher interested in it.

In July 1978, I had to leave Iran because of the beginning of the Islamic revolution. Soon after, I started a new career at the French company Bureau Veritas as chief representative in various countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Belarus. I also performed different missions in Mexico, Peru, Russia and Georgia.
Most of the notes that I have written down during this period of about twenty years that I have spent in Caracas, Quito, Mexico, Prague, Bratislava, Moscow, Minsk and Tbilisi were used to prepare some of my books such as “Nous sommes tous des guerisseurs“, (We are all Healers, Alphee publishers, Paris 2006).

During my stays in Minsk, Moscow and Tbilisi I have considerably enriched my documentation about one of my main subject of interest: the people of Caucasus. Henceforward I have written four books regarding this thema: “Etrange Caucase” ( Strange Caucasus, Fayard publishers, 1978), “La Montagne du Sang” ( The Bloody Mountain, Georg publishers, Geneva, 1998,) “Les Damnes de la Russie” ( The Damned of Russia, Georg, 2002), “ Les Caucasiens” (The Caucasiens, Infolio publishers, Gollion, Switzerland, 2006).
Since 2001 I live in Ferney-Voltaire, a little city located in France, near Geneva. I share my time between writing books and travelling to various countries such as the South of Tunisia, Africa, United States (mainly Arizona and New Mexico) in order to collect informations for my writing projects.
