I was born in Cannes en 1942. My father was
Russian and m mother was from Scandinavian origin. My maternal
grandfather, Lucien Ehret was a captain aboard the three mast
clipper “Anjou”. He sailed three times around
the world, doublig Cape- Horn, at the turn of the XXth century.
My own destiny was hence, marked with numerous travels, the
discovery of people of the world and with encounters with
remarkable persons. So, no wonder that soon, I launched myself
in this other human adventure: writing books.
After my studies at the faculty of sciences in Grenoble,
I spent twenty five years overseas with different functions:
engineer on on the site of construction of a dam and a powerhouse
in the Zagros mountains in South of Iran, commercial attaché
at the French embassy in Téhéran, director of
subsidiaries of an important french company in Bogota, Quito,
Prague Minsk, including numerous missions in Venezuela, Mexico,
Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.
The various subjects of my books are as follows: The people
of Caucasus (Etrange Caucase, pubisher, Fayard, Paris, 1978),
China (Le Siège de Pekin, Favre 1989), traditions in
the oasis in South Tunisia (Conversations in the desert, Dervy
publisher, 2002), the beginning of Buddhism in South of France
in the years1930, "The Guru of the Riviera," publisher,
JC Lattes, 2004. The healers around the world "Nous sommes
tous des guérisseurs" (We are all healers, Alphée,
2006). |
